Spring is so refreshing and new, it puts me in the mood to try new things and/or start something new. It’s those feelings of renewal that got me finding recipes to mix up some wonderful bath salts and soaks. There is something very satisfying about mixing and creating something for yourself. Even more so, when you get to share your new discoveries with others.
Below you will find links to two Pinterest recipes that I tried, followed by a photo of my finished product. Plus, as an added bonus, below you will find a stamped muslin bag project (to store your lovely scented bath salts in). Check out the Quick Tips Mixed Media Video below for the step by steps!
I am over on the Imagine Blog today with a Mixed Media card showing you how to create a background with layers of Kaleidacolor Ink and Shimmer Creative Medium. This bright background perfectly showcases a simply stamped focal point.

COMPANIES THAT I AM AFFILIATED WITH AND/OR DESIGN FOR MAY HAVE PROVIDED ME WITH SOME PRODUCT TO CREATE THIS PROJECT. THE OPINIONS I SHARE ARE SOLELY MY OWN.
Today has been a nice relaxing Sunday with some much needed time in the craft room. I wanted to do some experimenting with Tsukineko StazOn Studio Glaze on tile.  I worked with some 2″ x 2″ Porcelain Glazed tiles (that I had laying around) and 3 different Studio Glaze colors (Cotton White, Spiced Chai, Gold). In the end, I also added a bit of White Radiant Neon Amplify. Â
I was delighted in the different textures that I could create just by spreading the glaze onto the tile with different brush strokes (used a Modge Podge Brush). The result ranged from a nice smooth texture to a very granular texture. Be sure to scroll down to find the step by step photos and instructions.
Step 1: Apply StazOn Studio Glaze and Neon Amplify directly to porcelain tiles.
Step 2: Spread glaze with glue safe brush. Achieve fine texture by moving the glaze across the tile with smooth brush strokes or more texture by using a stippling motion. Allow to dry or use heat tool.
Step 3: Continue to apply glaze in layers until you are satisfied with the results. Remember to dry between layers.
Step 4: When the glaze is dry and the tile is cool, stamp image with StazOn Pigment Ink.

Try creating different textures. The 2″ x 2″ tiles are the perfect size for experimentation!
