One of the products that really caught my eye this year at Creativation was the sublimation products by artesprix. This Iron-on-Ink is so cool and will heat set onto polyester products (like totes, cups etc…). I located a polyester tote at my local craft store and thought that would be a perfect substrate to start on. Check out the Quick Tips Mixed Media Video below for the step by steps.
Back again today with a new project using digi-stamps. I love this Sketchy Daisy Flower image, so bright and cheery. It made for a lovely addition to this journal cover. Check out the Quick Tips Mixed Media video below for the step by steps.
Hope you are doing well this Saturday morning. Me, I am gazing out my windows at a raining, cold day and wishing for Summer! On a more positive note, it does make for a good day to be inside crafting! Thought I would re-share the method I use to print digi-stamps onto tissue paper. This is a great technique to use with mixed media projects and is how I added the Sketchy Flower mini-image onto the bookmark below. Check out the video below for the step by steps on how to print onto tissue paper.
The Mini-Sketchy Flower digital stamp set is a great set for bookmarks, cards and other projects where you are looking for a smaller image. Plus, you get 10 images in one set. Nice!

Found some time to work on a Mixed Media project this last weekend. It was nice to spend the afternoon creating, even though this project didn’t turn out to be a favorite. The time spent creating was worth it. Making a plan to set aside time for art more routinely in my schedule. I really have missed it!
It’s been a while since I have posted here on my blog. I seem to be in a creative lull, not being able to create freely. My mind seems to be too full and distracted with all that is going on. Have you all experienced this type of feeling? How did you get yourself out of it?
At the end of 2020, I felt overwhelmed with design team work in addition to my full time job so, I resigned from my Design Teams. Now I feel a lost. I have reorganized my craft space and have decluttered my craft storage. That usually gets me moving but, no. I have started projects and left them unfinished. I have an order for cards that I need to fill but my ideas are running thin.
To be honest, while I am typing this out I feel like I am just whining. And…maybe I am. This truly is the longest period of time that I have experiences a lack of creativity. So, again, how do I get past this? Any ideas? I would love to hear about your creative challenges and how you overcame them. Has there been a new product or technique that has inspired you lately? Please share!
So glad that you made to my post! I have a cute and fun Mini-Scrapbook page to share with you today featuring Joy Clair stamps.

Have you pulled out your Fall and Christmas craft stash yet. I usually don’t until closer to October however, this year, it felt right to start early. With the drag of COVID on the usual Summer fun, I thought it would be nice to start my Fall and Christmas crafts early as it always lifts my mood and makes me happy.
So far, I have created a few Fall pumpkin pieces and a special Christmas ornament.
I then collaged a wood pumpkin plaque (that I got from the dollar store) and mounted it to a base board treated with crackle medium.
And, of course, I had to put out my fall decorations.
Finally, my favorite project of late. I created an ornament from half of a walnut shell. Why is this so special? It is so very special because the walnut shell as a gift from my cute little grandson. He often gives me little gifts of things he finds (rock, walnut shell) and if he can’t find something…he will gift me his toy dinosaurs (which I gift back to him). He is just so sweet.
Here is a lava rock he collected for me while we were on a picnic earlier this year.
I thought making the walnut shell into an ornament would be a great way to treasure and save this special memory. Every year, when I put this ornament on my tree, I will think of the day that I received a sweet gift of a walnut shell from my adorable grandson. Isn’t that what the holiday are all about?
I hope these projects will inspire you to get started on your fall/holiday craft projects.
Happy day!
